Jonathan Tran

Jonathan is a junior in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in embedded systems. He is interested in Biomedical Engineering’s prosthetics field where he hopes to improve the quality of life of the physically impaired. He played piano for youth mass at his church and was Assistant Advisor for the church’s Venturing scouts of the BSA. He enjoys learning about new ideas in science and technology and sharing them with others. In his free time, he is practicing piano or playing tennis with his friends.

    Rosario Diaz

    Rosario is a rising senior, pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree with a concentration in signals, communications, and controls. She is an INROADS intern and has worked with Shell Oil & Gas, General Electric, and MD Anderson Cancer Center to name a few. She has a passion for community service, establishing professional development and mentorship programs for students, one of the reasons why she loves IEEE-UH!  When she’s not busy studying in the IEEE lounge, she enjoys traveling, playing volleyball, attending cultural events, and spending time with her family.

      Scott Phillips

      Scott is a Junior in Electrical Engineering concentrating on Signal Processing and Control Systems. Fun fact: He spent six weeks doing coral reef reservation in Fiji.

        Hasti Sajedi

        Hasti is a junior in Electrical Engineering focusing on Power and Renewable Energy. She is also interested in research, design and testing electronic circuits. In her spare time, she plays the piano and has a strong passion for painting.

          Nancy Ibarra

          Nancy is a senior in Electrical Engineering, with a concentration in nanosystems. She worked at Lockheed Martin on tool development and the University of Utah as a Undergraduate Research Assistant. During the semester, she works as a lab assistant and volunteers at educational outreach opportunities to elementary and high school students to gain interest in engineering. In her free time, she loves participating in church chorus as an Alto or Mezzo-Soprano.

            Matthew Diana

            Matthew is a sophomore economics major transferring over to mechanical engineering technology, with future plans of becoming a mechanical engineer. He enjoys learning about both mechanical and electrical system and increasing his knowledge in various subjects in and outside of science and engineering. He is also an active member of the robotics team, and engineers without borders.

              Alissa Cana

              Alissa is a junior in Mechanical Engineering, and her dream job would be to manage a team and design and manufacture aircraft along with other various robots and electromechanical gadgets. She plays drums and sings in her free time, enjoys spending time with friends, being involved in her church, and playing ping pong. Spontaneous adventures to explore the city and try new restaurants are some favorite pastimes.

                Moriah Hargrove Anders

                Moriah is a graduating senior in electrical engineering with a focus in power systems. She has been SCUBA certified for the past two years and has the goal of diving off of every continent.

                Javier Garcia

                A senior in Mechanical Engineering, Javier is also very interested in Robotics and Automation and worked in a NASA facility as part of a robotics program when he was in high school.

                Ike Onyearugha

                Ike is a post-baccalaureate senior in Computer Engineering. He also has a degree in Electronics Engineering Technology but decided he wanted to learn to program hardware and design software. He joined the IEEE to meet other ambitious young engineers. He enjoys playing soccer, video games, traveling and reading.
