VEX is a mid-level robotics competition. It has a greater emphasis on mechanical aspects than 3pi, and involves much more teamwork. VEX is recommended for students that want to acquire experience both in building and coding. No previous background in either field is required.
We use RobotC 4.x (http://www.robotc.net/) to code these robots. The program is very similar to C/C++, and there’s plenty of documentation and other resources available online. We have purchased several RobotC licenses, which will only be distributed to members that commit to being programmers for the team.
UPDATE – Members can download and use RobotC 4.x for FREE! Simply follow these steps HERE
During this Fall semester, we will mostly hold meetings on Fridays and Saturdays. Specific times and locations will be announced before the meetings.
